Josephine Li 李鳳儀
Josephine majored in music at The University of Hong Kong. Upon graduation, she was invited to be the chrous mistress of The University Chorus in works including the opera Norma with The Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra and Carmina Burana with The Hong Kong Philharmonic Prchestra. After obtaining a Master's degree in Church Music in The United States, she has appeared regularly as guest speaker on vocal training for choirs in workshops or choral clinics organized by different music institutes and organizations in Hong Kong, including The Hong Kong Chinese Christian Chueches Union and The Alliance Bible Seminary. She has also been invited to be guest conductor by different local churches.
Her enthusiastic participation in choirs has gained her valuable experience in choral singing and conducting. When she was still an undergraduate,she was a member of The University Chorus, The Union Choir (where she later became the conductor), The Innomine Chorale. The Sacred Singers and The RTHK singers. Nicholas Routley, the music director of The RTHK Singerss, became her first teacher in choral conducting. During her stay in The United States, she further her studies in choral conducting with David Keith and Joseph King, and was a member of The SWBTS Oratorio Chorus and The Southwestern Singers. In 2004, she was awarded a scholarship by Musica Mundi Choral Academy to join The 5th International Choir Conductor's Seminar in Germany.
As a singer, she has given solo recitals both in Hong Kong and The United States. Her operatic debut was made more than ten years ago singing the role of Amor in Orfeo. Since then, she has appeared as soloist with different choirs. Her performance with The Hong Kong Oratorio Society and The Hong Kong Youth Choir were both warmly received. In 2001, she was invited to perform in the Hong Kong premier od Acrostic Song from the Final Alice by David Del Tredici with The Hong Kong Sinfonietta.
Josephine is currently the head of the music department of St. Stephen's Girls' College, the member of The Sacred Singers, the conductor of The Church of Christ in China Hop Yat Church Choir (Hong Kong) and the Music Director of The Hong Kong Youth Choir.
李鳳儀一九九二年畢業於香港大學音樂系,並隨即被聘請為大學合唱團的合唱指導,與香港室樂團合作歌劇「諾瑪」及與香港管弦樂團合作奧爾夫的「卡明那•布拉那」。赴美完成音樂碩士課程後,更不時被本地機構邀請為合唱發聲訓練的工作坊主講,包括香港華人基督教聯會及建道神學院,亦曾多次被本地教會邀請為客席指揮。
李氏熱心參與合唱活動並從中獲益良多。大學時期已經是大學音樂系合唱團的成員,亦是大學學生會合唱團的成員兼指揮,同時亦參與欣樂詠團,聖詠小組,及香港電台合唱小組。她的合唱指揮啟蒙老師便是香港電台合唱小組的音樂總監 Nicholas Routley 。留學美國期間亦是 The SWBTS Oratorio Chorus 及 The Southwestern Singers 的成員,並隨美國指揮 David Keith 及 Joseph King 繼續進修。
從事音樂教育多年,經李氏所訓練的合唱團均有優異表現,短短八年已在香港校際音樂節中奪取過六次冠軍。去年十月更帶領其學校的合唱團於國際音樂賽事「 2002 合唱奧林匹克 」中勇奪一面銀牌。
李氏主修聲樂,曾於香港及美國舉行獨唱會,多年前在歌劇「奧菲歐」中演出愛神一角。李氏經常與不同合唱團合作,擔任女高音獨唱。其中與香港聖樂團及香港新青年合唱團的合作均獲好評。於 2001 年更被邀請為迪爾特雷奇之「離合詩」《選自終極愛麗斯》與香港小交響樂團合作於香港之首演擔任獨唱。
李氏現任聖士提反女子中學音樂科科主任,香港浸信會神學院特約講師,聖詠小組及九龍城浸信會詩班的成員。李氏自去年九月開始擔任香港新青年合唱團的音樂總監。 |
